Let me tell you a story.
Once there was these two guys name A and B. Both knew each other for 4 years and were once close friends. A was slightly luckier. He had the chance to travel frequently but everytime he wont not forget B's birthday. He would make the best effort to choose his birthday present and bring it back to Singapore despite him being scolded by his dad for lugging the birthday gift back. This is followed by an attempt by A to meet up with B even though both of them were equally busy. But every year on A's birthday, B will only give him a simple sms, wishing him 'Happy Brithday' while A would hope for a simple catchup without B spending money on a gift even though B is working.
But on the third trip overseas, A wanted to get B a birthday gift, but he was dismayed by the selection available in that country and decide not to buy any back. After he got back, he was preoccupied with his personal stuff and soon forgot about B's birthday as he had a lousy memory. A only found out B's birthday on the day itself and decide to give only a short sms to B to wish him happy birthday that year, and asking him out with the intention of giving him a birthday treat. But B did not reply his sms. A then wondered whether because B is upset with him for not giving him a birthday present that year.
A conclusion can only be drawn after the everyone hear both side of a story. Is A thinking too much? Or is A too sensitive? Maybe B has his difficulties? What do you guys think?
Actually, i think i had a fair share of encountering different kinds of people. There are friends who would are willing to help me even though occasionally i did not ask for their help. Conversely, there are people who were out there just to take advantage of you, smiling at you when you have something good to offer them, while treating you as non-existent when you have none to offer them.
Personally i feel that i would prefer a friend not to tell me anything than to lie to me. I think lying to a friend is the worse thing you can ever do to a friendship because i believe friendship is based on trust between two or more people. I would also try my best not to lie to any of my friends. Notice that i used the phrase ' try my best' instead of 'definately' because i am not a saint. Maybe there will come a time where i would be forced to tell a white lie or maybe in the future i maybe be a liar. Who knows?

A seems so familiar haha. Anyway a number of possibilities. Like A is really just thinking too much. Or for most people getting something on birthday is great but for others they are not too bothered about it. If its a girlfriend then arhh things might be slightly different but if its just good friends i don't think not getting a present especially when B is not even giving any to A is a very good justification for being angry. Thats just too petty. In any case, i don't think A should be overly bothered.
Hm maybe you are right. A is just too petty. Makes sense to me.
I mean A is too sensitive while if B really gets angry over this, B is too petty.
