Foreigners always think that this city is polluted because of the hazy scene when they take picture of the city but it is actually the fog that enguffs the city during autumm.

After that, we visited Nanning International Convention & Exhibition Centre. On the way, i was impressed by the tall buildings and new structures which the Chinese constructed during these past few years. In a span of 5 years , they transformed a place that was once a swamp to a city so advanced that it resembles Singapore. even though i dont really like the Chinese over there, but we have to give them credit for their achievements. What took Singapore an entire generation of hard work, they only did it within 5 years. This is something remarkable which other countries cant attain.

Because of the Asian-China Convention which was held in Oct, the Chinese Government decorated the surroundings with potted plants that spanned a few hundred metres. I think "face" do really matter alot to them.
Later during that day, we went shopping at the oldest street in Yangshuo, Xi Jie(West Street). It resembles "Jiu Fen" in Taipei and can be considered the shopping area which i enjoyed the most during my 8 days in Guangxi. Although the guide says its abit commercialised, i feel that part of the heritage is still being preserved.

After Xi Jie, we proceed on to watch Zhang Yi Mou's tribal show which used Guilin's natural scenery as the background. Those who had watched Beijing Olympic Opening Ceremony should know that he is quite good in directing such shows. Our guide told us that this show lifted many people from poverty as it uses around 750 members from 5 different minority tribes as casts in it. Very impressive i must admit, and there were very few empty seats in the outdoor theater that night.
