Eugene organised this Ubin trip for his OG which was delayed over a year after so much procrastinating . Both Xuan he and him initially persuaded me to go for this trip as they know that Vivienne might be going also. But i rejected it at first, because I didnt want to give the impression that i went coz of her which everyone thought it was so and my inability to ride a bicycle would hinder the group's pace .
That very night before the trip , Jade came to tell me on msn that it was their last OG outing before the exams and i thought if i didnt attend, there wont be a second chance to do so next time. She also assured me that Glynis and her would be taking the small bus with me and i wont have to do any riding.
We agree to meet at Changi for lunch first before heading to Ubin. Some of them were late as they need to hand in their projects in school before joining us. Hence we went over to the island first without waiting as it was getting hotter.
When we reached, Jade suddenly changed her mind and wanted to ride a bicycle. So i had to choose between waiting for team B to come or i have to ride one myself. Luckily, Eugene was nice enough to offer to share a double bike with me so that i wont have to wait for the rest of them to come.

The highlight of the trip was Jeannette being rammed by one of the three wild boars who were running across the mud tracks. She was thrown off track and her feet was swollen and we all have to rushed down to see whether she was alright. Luckily, Yu wei and I brought along some plasters to remedy the situation. As soon as we alight from our bicycles , we were swarmed by alot of mosquitoes. The mosquitoes problem was as serious as Tekong Reclaim land's and all of us werent protected by insect repellents. After that , Jeanette had to limp all the way to Chek Jawa.

Before returning the bikes, each of them took turning teaching me the techniques of riding before we return them to the owner.
After that, we had dinner (Zi Char) on the island before leaving.
Overall, i feel that the trip was very fruitful and i really didnt regret going for it. Got to know some of XH's OG members more and it really gave me a different perspective of Ubin which i always thought was boring and had a bad impression of since the NPCC adventure camp during Sec 2. I was feeling very grateful to Eugene for sharing the double bike with me and carrying our total baggage even though he wasnt obliged to.
