Finance Networking Session at Suntec

The networking session and finance conference organised by NTU was a very good opportunity to learn about the current job market situation as well as the expectations of the employers. Everyone was dressed to the nines, as you can see from the picture below, with Jade being the overkill as she was the only one wearing a blazer. She was mistaken for the events coordinator and was hit on by a good-looking guy from NUS Business Faculty. Not bad for a start right?

The networking session invited heavyweights like Ministry of Finance and Citibank but i guess the people from SIM has no chance at all. There were people with MBA enquiring about those positions and they also explicitly said that they only hire from the 3 Unis. But it was also an eye opener for us, and made us realised how important a good degree was.

Towards the end, we were chilling out at the TCC cafe at Citilink and guess who we saw? Its Shaun's favourite buddy the "Tung Kee" sneakily making his way through the crowd on his way back home. We guessed he must have attended the job fair on the 6th floor. He waved to Wei Hao and spotted me among the group before giving me his trademark " smirk". We ended the day with discussion on how much should be spend on a girl's birthday and Jason giving us his thoughts on his "incidents " with Glynis.
